Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur?

by Bride and Groom-to-be

My Question:
Can you get married on the Sunday between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur?

Thank you.

Dear Bride and Groom-to-be,

Thank you for your question.

The Reform Movement Rabbis will generally officiate between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Do consider that it will be entirely up to the Rabbi and what their responsibilities are for and during those High Holidays especially if they have a congregation.

Best to ask that as your first question when contacting the Rabbi you wish to officiate your wedding.

Before setting a date, signing a catering contract, contact the Rabbi or this will become a problem. Remember, it is your Chuppah ceremony, under the wedding canopy that is the important part of your day. The joining of two hearts into marriage. All the other details make the day beautiful.

All my best,
Rabbi Andrea Frank
